Control Issues In the panels Issue - Interior lights are operating as exterior lights and vice versa Troubleshooting Zones Missing Status with Microlite

Control Issues

In the panels

  1. Confirm card placement,
  2. Confirm address dipswitch.
  3. Plungers must be wired to the corresponding 4-pin terminal (see photo).
    1. Each control card has 24 relays (plungers) and 24 corresponding 4-pin terminal blocks. If the plunger is wired to the incorrect terminal block, it will not operate correctly, if at all.
    2. Technician onsite should verify plunger/termination agreement while Customer Support agent verifies relay numbers on each communication card in configuration match what tech sees.
    3. If any plungers/relays are determined to be plugged into a DIFFERENT input on the board, GridPoint will need to update the relays in the configuration.
    4. Ex: Card #204 is landed on circuit 31 of the LP-1 panel but the plunger wires are plugged into termination #39.
      1. Corrective actions: Per the panel schedule circuit 31/config#79 on card 204 translated to Relay #7, which needs to be removed in the configuration and circuit 39 (relay #15/config #87) added.
      2. Configuration>Smart Assets>Lighting/Load>Microlite-204 and remove relay 7 add Relay #15. *Ensure relay is removed/added to correct communication card. Note: We are only changing the configuration NOT the wires on the card because this is an existing system, and we (GridPoint) should not change existing site conditions we just want our controller to send signals to correct
plunger. Do not use “Add Multiple Relays” on existing systems, that is for initial configuration only.

Issue - Interior lights are operating as exterior lights and vice versa

  1. A technician on site must verify card placement/address.
    1. Address verification using the dipswitches. If dipswitch addresses need modification, power down the panel, correct and replace cards before powering back up.
    2. Confirm lighting is operating as normal; Interior lights should come on during business hours, and Exterior lights should come on at dark or per schedule.

Troubleshooting Zones Missing Status with Microlite

  1. Zones scheduled or overridden to “ON” should show Current State of ON. Any zones missing a “current state” indicate an issue with at least ONE of the relays (either physically or in the configuration) for that zone.
    1. Technician should inspect relays, while Support reviews the schedule sent over from Walgreens. One zone missing is probably a relay, if several are missing the current state, verify fuses and voltage on the card for those zones.
    2. Also confirm that each relay is in the correct spot in the panel. Each relay has its own designated spot in each panel. Ex: Relay 1 should always be in the back in the top left.

If the relay in the back, top left is labeled with a 5 and the wiring is found plugged into input 5 on the board, then GridPoint needs to remove relay #1 from the configuration and add in Relay #5.)
