This article will guide you troubleshooting an EC2000 controller failing to boot up properly or stuck on the boot up screen.

Bootup Issues
- Locate the controller.
- Controller location should be listed in the commissioning documentation.
- You may see an illuminated black screen or a screen stuck in boot-up.


- Perform a soft reset.
- With a paperclip or something of a similar diameter, press and hold the reset button located to the immediate left of the ethernet cable on the underside of the controller.
- Confirm power on. If EC2000 does not power on, continue to next step.
- Perform a hard reset.
- Check ethernet cable connection at controller.
- Ethernet cable connects on right side of controller, along the bottom. (Image 1.3)
- Inspect ethernet cable for damage.
- Unplug ethernet cable.
- Unplug power cable and wait 5 minutes.
- Plug power cable back in and wait 5 minutes.
- Plug ethernet cable back in.
- Confirm power on. If EC2000 does not power on, contact GridPoint Support for more details.
- Check ethernet cable connection at controller.
