Systems - GridPoint Intelligence - Alerts Management
This article provides an overview of GridPoint Intelligence Alerts Management. This new feature allows users to monitor and action a variety of asset alerts across their sites.

What are GridPoint Intelligence Alerts?
Alerts allow users to view real-time updates across multiple assets and sites. The Alerts Management page offers visibility to all your sites across the map. Overviews provide succinct summaries of any issues impacting your business along with maintenance suggestions to prevent future issues.

Alerts Management Page
Navigating to the Alerts Management Page
- Open GridPoint Intelligence.
- Select your user and tenant at the top of the page from the dropdown menus.

- Click Sites in the lefthand sidebar.
- Select a site to view.
- Click the Alerts tab.

Understanding the Alerts Management Page
Alerts are organized into four (4) tabs; New, In Progress, Deferred, and Closed. The alerts can be organized by time received by click the Time dropdown menu.

- New: This is the New Alert tab. It displays new alerts that have not been accepted yet.

In Progress: This is the In Progress Alert tab. This is used to view alerts that have been accepted, but not closed yet.
- Clicking Reopen to move the alert back to New.

Deferred: This is the Deferred Alerts tab. This is used to view alerts that have been deferred or yet to be actioned.
- Clicking Reopen to move the alert back to New.

Closed: This is the Closed Alert tab. This is used to view alerts that have been accepted and completed.
- Clicking Reopen to move the alert back to New.

Alert Entry
Each alert has a unique line entry.

Performance Tag: Displays a color-coded tag with additional text information about the type of performance alert. These are explained in-detail in the sections that outline individual asset in the Asset Alerts section below.
- Red tags indicate Critical Alert State
- Yellow tags indicate High Alert State
- Green tags indicate Low/No Impact Alert State

- Asset Zone and Type: Displays the asset type icons along with the zone name for that asset.

Subject Line: Provides a brief description of the alert along with date and time tags.
- Clicking the arrow icon will open up

- Notes: Provides a place to write notes related to each alert. Can be viewed by other users.

Action: Clicking the Action button will pull up a menu allowing the user to select from a variety of actioning Reasons and add notes. This will change the status to In Progress.

Actioning Reasons
- Under review: This issue is under review and will be followed up on after research.
- Internal troubleshooting: This issue will be troubleshot by internal support team.
- Dispatch: A technician dispatch has been scheduled to remediate the issue.
- Service complete: This issue has been resolved.

Actioning Reasons

Defer: Clicking the Defer button moves the alert to the Deferred Alerts tab.
- Defer Until: Select a date to defer this issue. The issue will return to the New tab once the defer date is reached.

Defer Reasons
- Budget: This issue is deferred to a future date for budget reasons.
- Parts on order: This issue is deferred until necessary parts arrive to the site.
- Other: This issue is deferred for another reason.

Important: Deferring HVAC performance, maintenance and repair notifications will negatively impact asset performance and energy efficiency. It is highly recommended that you contact an HVAC technician to perform any needed maintenance as soon as possible.

Close: Clicking the Close button will update the alert status to Closed.

- A pop-up menu provides users the opportunity to decide how they want to address the alert.
- Self resolved: The issue went away without any action.
- Manually resolved: The issue was resolved by troubleshooting and/or technician dispatch.
- A pop-up menu provides users the opportunity to decide how they want to address the alert.

Export: Allows the user to send an email summary of the alert. Enter the desired email address into the Email entry box.
