Systems - GridPoint Intelligence - Accessing WiFi and LoRa Details

WiFi and LoRa allow for wireless communications between GridPoint devices. This article provides steps for viewing WiFi and LoRa details in GridPoint Intelligence.

Viewing WiFi and LoRa Details

  1. Open GridPoint Intelligence.
  2. Select GridPoint and the appropriate tenant from the dropdowns at the top of the page.
  1. Click the Site sidebar.
  1. Navigate to a site.
  2. Click the Install tab.
  1. Click the arrow next to the Equipment accordion menu.
  1. Click the three dots next to the site controller.
    1. This will pull up the WiFi and LoRa menus as well as Controller Details

LoRa Details

  • Zone Name: Name given to the zone.
  • Serial Number: Serial number of the equipment.
  • Type: Equipment type
  • Firmware Version: The current firmware version.
  • Sensor Connectivity State: Connected or disconnected.
  • Sensor Temp: For any duct probes or other temp sensors.
  • Downlink RSSI: (Received Signal Strength Indicator) measures the signal strength received by the user device from the base station. 
  • Uplink RSSI: (Received Signal Strength Indicator) measures the signal strength received by the base station from a device.
  • Downlink Success: Is controller successfully receiving signal from external devices?
  • Uplink Success: Is the controller successfully sending signal to external devices?
  • Timing Accuracy Score: How close the system time aligns with reference time.
  • Sensor Battery (V): Shows battery status in volts.
  • Estimated Energy Used (mAh): Shows energy usage estimate in milliampere-hour.
  • Sample Period (Sec): Length of sample period in seconds.

LoRa Channel Scan

  • Last Scan Time: Shows last scan by LoRa device.

WiFi Details

  • Device Name: Name of connected device. Also shows model name when possible.
  • Serial Number: Device serial number, if applicable.
  • Firmware Version: The current firmware version.
  • IP Address: IP address for the device, if applicable.
  • Connection State: Current connection status. Connected or disconnected.
  • Last Realtime Reading: Last reading temperature or other input data.
  • RSSI: Received Signal Strength Indicator
  • Disconnects in Last 7 Days: Number of disconnects over a rolling 7-day period.
