Thermostats - TS101 - Heating Issues
This article will guide you through troubleshooting when a customer is calling in to troubleshoot heating issues with a TS101 thermostat. This is for situations where there are true performance issues and not when the customer is requesting a temporary override to raise the heat set point lower than it is typically running at.

Heating Issues
- Locate the TS101 thermostat.

- Check that the power LED is illuminated.
- If the power LED is not illuminated, reference the TS101 Power Issues article.
- Is there physical damage?
- If yes, contact GridPoint Support for more details.
- Check the thermostat’s mode and verify it is in either “heat” or “auto”.
- To check at the thermostat physically, check to see if the “heat” LED is illuminated.
- To check within GEM application, you can go to Real Time Data (RTD) to check current status.
- Check Heat Setpoint.
- The heat will only run if the heat set point is higher than the zone temperature.
- If the heat set point is higher than the zone temperature and the thermostat will not run, contact GridPoint Support for more details.
- If the heat set point is equal to or lower than the zone temperature, there do not appear to be heating issues. A temporary override of the temperature settings will allow you to heat up the zone. This can be done in the GEM application.
- The heat will only run if the heat set point is higher than the zone temperature.
