Power Steps

1. Turn on breaker supplying 120 VAC. 
2. Measure voltages across TS2 terminals. 
3. Check for loose connections on TS2 terminals. 
4. Set JMP1 switch to appropriate voltage setting for the site. 
   1. Most US sites will be 115 VAC 
   2. Check for lights 
      1. If no, transformer may be blownSet JMP1 switch to appropriate voltage setting.

Communication Steps

1. Check wiring for the RS-485. 
   • Make sure wires aren’t stripped for punch-downs. 
   • Check on 1204EX and at HUB, IOM, or controller connecting to 1204EX. 
2. Check address setting. 
   • Starts at 0 and goes to 9 
   • If having trouble finding address, set it to every address and see what you get. 
   • If you change address, hit reset switch. 
3. Reset the 1204-EX using the reset switch near the RS-485 Communication Board.

• If the “No” switch is set to down, switch it to up.

4. Confirm programming. 
5. Replace 1204-EX.
