No Communication to Controller

  • Check the signal strength for LoRa devices. To do this, the user will need GridPoint Intelligence Tenant Admin privileges.
    • If you have questions about your access, contact your internal IT team or reach out to GridPoint Support for more details.
  • Check the address settings for the device.
  • Confirm programming in GridPoint Intelligence.
  • Click the Wake button.
    • Review the LED blink patterns and colors for more details.
LED Blink Interval Sensor Status
One green flash 15 sec* Wake-up, connected
One red flash 15 sec* Trying to join
Two green flashes Once Join complete, connected
Five red flashes Once Power-up
  • If the device has power and is connecting to the network, you should see the following in order:
    • Five red flashes
    • One green flash 
    • One red flash followed by two green flashes
    • If the device does not have power, reference this article.
  • Reset the EDGE controller.
  • If the device still does not connect to the controller, it will need to be replaced. Contact GridPoint Support for additional assistance.
