Assets Overview

Assets provides insight into all equipment at all company sites. You can filter by asset type, see total asset counts across sites, search for a specific site or piece of equipment, and make bulk changes. HVAC thermostats are grouped under the Space they belong to, and comfort settings, schedules, and overrides are managed at the Space level.

The Assets page with the filter options and site list.

Asset Interfaces

Controllers Display online status, controller name, site address, current status, last online timestamp, and options (Information, Connectivity Page).

Thermostats Thermostats are grouped under their Space. Each thermostat card shows online status, HVAC health indicator, name, temperature readings, humidity, current settings, schedule, mode, stage, supply air temperature, and last online time, with options to open its Information, HVAC Tests, and Connectivity pages.

Comfort settings, schedules, overrides, and Optimal Start/Stop are managed on the Space, not on the individual thermostat. Each Space has its own Settings (gear) and Override controls on the Space row.

Meters: Display online status, meter name, current consumption, total monthly consumption, last online timestamp, and settings (Information, Connectivity Page).

Refrigerators/Freezers: Show online status, unit name, current temperature, door status, sensors, and settings options. You can modify the unit type (Freezer, Cooler, Rx Cooler, Nonperishable Coolers) and customize alert threshold parameters.

Lighting: Display online status, on/off state, control status, IOM, outputs, photosensor data, last online time, and settings options (Information, Turn On/Off Lighting, Settings Page, Connectivity Page).

Navigating to Assets

Click the Assets icon (circle with three wavy lines) on the left sidebar. Use the search bar to find specific sites and view their assets.

Managing a Thermostat’s Settings and Overrides

Comfort settings, schedules, overrides, and Optimal Start/Stop are managed at the Space level:

  • To change settings, open the Space’s Settings from the gear icon on the Space row, or from the Space’s three-dot menu.
  • To place a temporary override, click the stopwatch icon on the Space row. The override applies to every thermostat in the Space.

For an individual thermostat, the menu offers Information, HVAC Tests, and Connectivity. To move a thermostat into a different Space, use the Spaces view (see Systems - GridPoint Intelligence - Managing Spaces).

Applying Bulk Actions

Use the Filter Assets dropdown and select Show Spaces (for HVAC) or Show Lighting Assets. Only apply bulk actions to one type at a time.

For HVAC, bulk actions operate on Spaces. Select the Spaces you want to change, click Apply Bulk Action, and choose the action to perform (comfort setting, schedule, exception, override profile, override, or Optimal Start/Stop).

Note: Be very sure which settings you want before applying bulk actions across multiple Spaces and sites.

The Apply Bulk Action menu open over selected Spaces, listing every bulk action.
