Lighting/Load Tab includes the following:

  • Schedule
  • Override Policy

  1. Click the red Override button.
  2. Select the Override status and Duration.
    1. Lights can be overridden On or Off up to the max duration allowed by the Override Policy.
  1. Click Save.
  2. If the override does not take affect, there may be issues with your site's lighting system. GridPoint has limited control over most lighting systems and is not responsible for repairs. Contact your company's facility manager or appropriate contact for lighting issues.

  1. Select a site.
  1. Tap the Lighting tab.
  1. Tap the lighting zone you want to override.
  1. Tap the Override tab at the bottom righthand side of the screen.

Permanent Change

Log in to GEM from a browser. The GEM app does not support permanent lighting changes.

In Browser

  1. Select a site.
  1. Go to Control > Lighting/Loads.
  2. Select the lighting zones you want to override.
  1. Click Edit.

Note The Edit button provides the ability to make permanent changes. The appropriate level of authority is required to make permanent changes. Check with the appropriate channels within your organization to ensure you are able to make changes.

  1. Lighting hours are based off of site schedules. The Schedule Considers dropdown allows you to select from site schedule options. Many sites only have one set of site hours.
  2. In the On or Off entry box, input the number of minutes you want the lights to turn On/Off either:
    1. Before/After Sunrise
    2. Before/After Sunset
    3. Before/After Open (based on the Schedule Considers hours)
    4. Before/After Close (based on the Schedule Considers hours)
    5. A specific time (i.e. 9:30am local time)
  1. Additional Schedule periods can be added with the Add Period button.
    1. Adding conflicting periods can cause issues with lights. If you have any questions regarding lighting schedules, please reach out to GridPoint Customer Support.
  2. The Override Policy allows you to change the number of minutes lights can be overridden on or off.
  3. The Weekly View shows the hours the selected lighting zone will be on or off. It also displays estimated sunrise and sunset hours.
    1. Yellow periods show when lights will be on.
    2. Gray periods show when lights will be off.
  4. SF Case, Requested By, and Notes fields are generally used by GridPoint staff and can be left unedited.
  5. After making the desired changes to the schedule, click Save.
  6. If the edit does not take affect, there may be issues with your site's lighting system. GridPoint has limited control over most lighting systems and is not responsible for repairs. Contact your company's facility manager or appropriate contact for lighting issues.
