ADM Micro EMS Controller (ADM-1204) Network Configuration

Touchscreen instructions for ADM Micro

  1. Select (touch) English to display the Lighting Schedule screen. Two touches will normally be required as the first touch will serve to only activate the touch screen:

  • If a screen other than the English/Espanol screen is displayed, select either Menu or Exit until the Options Menu screen is displayed and skip to Step 3 below. 
  1. On the Lighting Schedule screen, select Menu: 
  1. On the Options Menu screen, select Admin: 
  1. If prompted, enter the site-specific security code using the numeric keypad displayed on the touch screen. This code will normally be the store number in reverse, such that the code for Store #1234 is 4321:

  • Press ENT after all numbers have been entered. No security code prompt will be displayed if security has not been enabled for Admin functions.
  1. Select Configuration on the Administration Menu screen.
  2. Select Comm Options on the Configuration Menu screen.
  3. On the Comm Options screen, touch the box containing “IP Address=…”:

NOTE: If the COMM OPTIONS screen does not contain ETHERNET parameters, this controller has not been updated with the necessary firmware. Please call the following number for further instructions:

  1. A numeric keypad will be displayed prompting for entry of an IP address. This screen will be similar in appearance to the keypad shown in Step 4 above. Enter the four octet IP address assigned to this controller using the numeric keypad displayed on the touch screen. Each octet value consists of one, two, or three numbers such as “192”. Use periods to separate each octet. Press ENT after all numbers have been entered. Press ESC to return to the previous screen without saving any changes. 
  2. On the Comm Options screen, touch the box containing “Net Mask=…”.
  3. A numeric keypad will be displayed prompting for entry of the net mask value. This screen will be similar in appearance to the keypad shown in Step 4 above. Enter the four octet net mask value for this controller using the numeric keypad displayed on the touch screen. Each octet value consists of one, two, or three numbers such as “192”. Use periods to separate each octet. Press ENT after all numbers have been entered. Press ESC to return to the previous screen without saving any changes. 
  4. On the Comm Options screen, touch the box containing “Gateway=…”.
  5. A numeric keypad will be displayed prompting for entry of the gateway IP address for this controller. This screen will be similar in appearance to the keypad shown in Step 4 above. Enter the four octet IP address of the gateway using the numeric keypad displayed on the touch screen. Each octet value consists of one, two, or three numbers such as “192”. Use periods to separate each octet. Press ENT after all numbers have been entered. Press ESC to return to the previous screen without saving any changes. 
  6. If necessary, touch the box containing “DHCP=Y” on the Comm Options screen until “DHCP=N” is displayed. If “DHCP=N” is already displayed, this step is not necessary.
  7. On the Comm Options screen, select Exit.
  8. Repeatedly select Exit on each subsequent screen until a screen is displayed showing “Save Configuration ?”: 

  1. Select Yes on the “Save Configuration ?” screen. CAUTION: All changes entered through the above steps will be LOST unless this step is completed!
  2. A screen will be momentarily displayed showing “Configuration Saved !”, followed immediately by a momentary blank screen while the controller resets.
  3. After several seconds, the touch screen should return to the normal controller default screen.
  4. Call 866-800-8906 & press 2 for Commissioning Assistance to confirm proper operation.
