Creating custom hours for your sites allows you to extended HVAC and lighting operation beyond your normal hours for one-off maintenance or reoccurring holidays.

Creating Custom Hours

Log in to GEM from a browser or the GEM app for iOS or Android.

In Browser

1. Select a site.

2. Click the Control tab > Hours > Custom Hours.
3. Click the black Edit button.
   1. The next steps will depend on if you want to Add Custom Hours or Edit Custom Hours. Follow the appropriate instructions below.

Editing Custom Hours in Browser

1. Select the check box(es) next to the day(s) you wish to edit.
   1. To edit multiple days, click Group Edit.
      1. In the pop-up menu, you can change the hours for Open and Close, Open Only, or Close Only.
      2. Once you are satisfied, click Apply.

2. To edit a single day, change the open and/or close times for the selected custom hours.
   1. Once you are satisfied, click Save.
      1. Requested By must be filled out to save.

Adding Custom Hours in Browser

1. From the Edit pop-up, click the black Add Custom Hours button.

2. Name your Custom Hours.
3. Select the date for your custom hours and if you want it to repeat each year or only for one specific date.
4. Click Ok.
5. In the Edit pop-up window, your new custom hours date should now be showing.
6. To edit a single day, change the open and/or close times for the selected custom hours.
   1. Once you are satisfied, click Save.
      1. Requested By must be filled out to save.

In App

1. Select a site.

2. Tap the Location tab.
3. Tap the Hours button.
4. Tap the Custom Hours tab at the top of the screen.

Adding Custom Hours in App

1. Tap the plus + symbol to add custom hours.

2. From the menu, select one of the pre-created US Holiday options or Other to create your own hours.
   1. If you select a pre-created US Holiday option, simply select the hours for that day and if you want it to repeat every year.
   2. If you select Other, select a name for the hours, the date, the hours of operation and if you want it to repeat every year.

3. Once you are satisfied with your selections, tap Apply.

Editing Custom Hours in App

1. Custom Hours can only be edited in GEM browser version. Custom Hours can be deleted from the App by sliding the hours you wish to delete to the left. Then tap the Delete button.
