Equipment – Thermostats – TS150W – Inaccurate Temperature Readings
This article will guide you through troubleshooting when a customer is calling in to troubleshoot inaccurate temperature readings with a TS150W thermostat. This is for situations where the customer is claiming that the temperature readings provided by the TS150W thermostat itself is believed to be inaccurate.

Inaccurate Temperature Readings

- Locate the TS150W Thermostat.
- Determine whether the temperature in question is being read by a ZSM associated to the thermostat or the thermostat itself.
- If the temperature is being read by the ZSM, review this article Equipment - ZSM - Troubleshooting Inaccurate Tasseron ZSM Temperature.
- To change the control strategy, open the Information tab on the TS150W asset in GridPoint Intelligence.
- Scroll to the bottom. Click Edit Control Strategy.
- Determine if you want a Single or Average control strategy.
- For single, select the controlling device.
- For average, select all devices to average.
- Click Save.


- If it is the thermostat temperature reading, breathe on the sensor to see if the temperature fluctuates. Test the reporting temperature against a thermometer in the same exact spot.
- If the temperature fails to fluctuate or continues to read incorrectly, power cycle (disconnect power supply and reconnect after thirty seconds) and check the reported temperature.
