Overview - Insights Dashboard

The Insights Dashboard gives multisite customers a single-screen view of their entire portfolio's HVAC health, active alerts, comfort performance, and equipment test results. Instead of clicking into sites individually, a facilities manager can open GridPoint Intelligence, see which sites need attention, and know exactly what to prioritize in seconds.

The dashboard is organized into seven tabs, accessed from the tab bar at the top of the page. Each tab serves a distinct purpose and can be explored independently.

Tabs

  • Executive Overview: Portfolio-level landing page with three gauges (HVAC Health, Active Alerts, Comfort Score) and ranked lists of the bottom-performing sites.
  • HVAC Health: Classifies every HVAC asset across the portfolio as Poor, Sub-Optimal, or Optimal, with a geographic map and ranked site view.
  • Site Alerts: Consolidated, filterable table of every active alert across the portfolio, sorted by severity.
  • Comfort Scores: Measures how consistently each site and zone stays within setpoints during occupied hours.
  • HVAC Data: Deep telemetry view with time-series charts for zone temperature, setpoints, runtime, occupancy, and supply air.
  • HVAC Tests: Results of automated heating and cooling tests, including pass/fail status and supply air readings.
  • HVAC Scorecard: Benchmarks the customer's HVAC settings, policies, and advanced controls against GridPoint best practices and industry peers.

Global Features

  • Export Data: Every tab with a data table or chart includes an Export Data button in the top right corner to download the underlying data in CSV format.
  • Filters: Each tab exposes filters appropriate to that view (e.g., Health Rating, Site State, Site City, Date Range, Alert Reason, Test Type).

Executive Overview

The Executive Overview is the landing page of the Insights Dashboard and is designed to answer the question, "Across my entire portfolio, where should I be looking right now?"

Layout

The tab is divided into three vertical panels, one for each portfolio-level KPI. Each panel contains a gauge at the top and a ranked list of the lowest-performing sites beneath it.

HVAC Health and Performance

  • Gauge: Displays the percentage of sites at optimal HVAC performance (0-100%).
  • Bottom 10 Sites by Lowest HVAC Health: Horizontal stacked bar chart ranking the ten sites with the worst HVAC performance. Bars are color-coded using the Poor (red), Sub-Optimal (yellow), Optimal (green) health classification.

Sites with Active Alerts

  • Gauge: Displays the count of sites with current asset issues, scaled against the total site count.
  • Sites with Highest Alert Counts: Horizontal bar chart showing the sites with the most active alerts, with the raw alert count labeled inside each bar.

Overall Comfort Score

  • Gauge: Displays the percentage of units operating within setpoints across the portfolio (0-100%).
  • Bottom Ten Sites by Comfort Score: Horizontal bar chart ranking the ten sites with the lowest comfort scores, color-graded from red (worst) to blue (best).

When To Use This Tab

Use the Executive Overview as the starting point for daily triage and leadership reporting. It surfaces the worst performers immediately without any filtering or clicking, replacing what previously required navigating site by site to assemble.

HVAC Health

The HVAC Health tab classifies every HVAC asset in the portfolio and provides both a geographic and ranked view of where equipment is underperforming.

Health Rating Classifications

At the top of the tab, three summary cards show the asset count in each category:

  • Poor (red): Assets consuming runtime without delivering effective heating or cooling and likely requiring on-site attention.
  • Sub-Optimal (yellow): Assets delivering temperature change, but not at healthy performance levels, suggesting early-stage inefficiency.
  • Optimal (green): Assets running as expected.
  • Each classification can be expanded with the dropdown arrow to view the underlying assets.

Filters

  • Health Rating: Filter by Poor, Sub-Optimal, or Optimal.
  • Site State: Filter by U.S. state.
  • Site City: Filter by city.

Ranked Site List

A vertical list on the left of the tab ranks sites by health. Each row shows a compact bar indicating the distribution of Poor, Sub-Optimal, and Optimal assets at that site.

Geographic Map

A Mapbox-powered map plots every site with color-coded markers:

  • Red: One or more Poor-rated assets at the site.
  • Yellow: One or more Sub-Optimal assets, no Poor assets.
  • Green: All assets Optimal.
  • Zoom and pan controls are in the standard location. Clustered markers show aggregate site counts in dense areas.

When To Use This Tab

Use Site Alerts when the goal is to triage active issues across the entire portfolio in one place, rather than navigating site by site or relying on notification emails.

Comfort Scores

The Comfort Scores tab measures how consistently each site and zone maintains temperatures within the active setpoints during occupied hours.

Ranked Site List

A vertical list on the left ranks every site from worst to best comfort score. Each row shows the site name and a color-coded bar with the percentage (e.g., Woodbury 17%, Las Colinas 99%). The color scale runs from red (low compliance) through orange and yellow to green (high compliance).

Filters

  • Site Name(s): Multi-select, defaults to all sites. Count displays next to the selector (e.g., "(25) Richardson, Austin-Mueller, Omaha, Cedars...").
  • Asset Name(s): Filter to specific asset-level zones.
  • Comfort Score Range: Dual-thumb slider from 0% to 100% to focus on a specific performance band.

Asset-Level Heatmap Table

The right side of the tab displays a grouped heatmap table with one row per asset, grouped by site. Columns include:

  • Site Name
  • Asset Name
  • Comfort Score: Percentage of time the zone stayed within setpoints during occupied hours, color-graded red to green.
  • Max Cool Setpoint (°F), color-graded.
  • Min Heat Setpoint (°F), color-graded.

HVAC Scorecard Tab

The HVAC Scorecard measures how closely the customer's HVAC settings, policies, and advanced controls align with GridPoint's best-practice recommendations, and how they compare to similar businesses in their industry vertical.

Your Final Score vs. Others In Your Vertical

A horizontal comparison bar shows:

  • Your Score (solid green)
  • Vertical Benchmark (light green)
  • A gauge beneath the comparison displays the customer's final score as a percentage against the 0-100% range.

Final Score: Total Weighted Points

A horizontal bar compares the customer's weighted points earned against the vertical benchmark on a 0-8 scale.

Final Score: Total Points

A horizontal bar compares the customer's total points earned against the vertical benchmark on a 0-48 scale.

Component Scores

Three grouped bar charts break down the score by HVAC configuration category and schedule type (Primary, Secondary, Closed):

  • Heating Setpoint Scores (orange)
  • Cooling Setpoint Scores (blue)
  • Fan Run Time Scores (green)
  • Each chart shows a bar for Primary, Secondary, and Closed schedule performance.

Scheduled Setpoints by Final Score Range Percentage Per-Site

A scatter-and-line chart plots how the customer's sites distribute across final HVAC score ranges (e.g., 45-50%, 55-60%, 60-65%). Overlaid reference lines show best-practice setpoints:

  • CSP Best Practice: Cooling setpoint best-practice line.
  • HSP Best Practice: Heating setpoint best-practice line.
